Short Bio

I am Professor for Empirical Development Economics at the Ruhr University Bochum & Researcher at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research. My research interests are in family economics, health and demograpy, religion and political economy. I work mostly in West Africa and in Indonesia.
